Even without a physical keyboard, Apple has created a couple of keyboard shortcuts to help you navigate and make use of the iPad more efficiently. To turn on these keyboard shortcuts, follow these steps to:
1) Tap "Settings"
2) Tap "General"
3) Tap "Keyboard"
4) Tap Whichever Keyboard Shortcuts you want enable.
.com/.org/: When you talk about laptop keyboards in Safari, Apple has a.com key to help you fill out web addresses quicker. If you press and hold button, you are able to bring ,.net, . After you've got entered the url correctly, tap "Go" on laptop keyboards to complete the net address.
Pressing an unacceptable key: If you press the incorrect key, don't bring your finger up. Just slide it up to the proper keyboard key.
Apostrophes: Just like your iPhone or blackberry, iPad will auto-correct for missing apostrophes. Wont could be won't, etc.
Auto-capitalization: the iPad will automatically capitalize first words in sentences s well as proper nouns like "I." This is started up inside Settings menu.
Auto-correction: Your iPad has a built in dictionary meant to fix typos and spelling mistakes while you type. Press the room bar to accept suggestion corrections for mistyped words.
CapsLock: You can type IN ALL CAPS but flipping with this setting. When you double-tab the Shift (L) key, it is going to keep ALL CAPS till you tap it again to make off. The Shift (L) key will turn blue what you ALL CAPS has become enabled.
Double Tap: Double Tapping is much like double clicking a mouse however with the iPad it may do far more depending what program you might have open. For example, Double tapping over the photo or site quickly zooms in while Double tapping before the a youtube video makes the video full screen.
